Maybe

<3

I'm strong
But I break
I'm stubborn
And I make plenty of mistakes
Yeah I'm hard
And life with me is never easy
To figure out, to love
I'm jaded but oh so lovely
All you have to do is hold me
And you'll know and you'll see just how sweet it can be
If you'll trust me, love me, let me
Maybe, maybe

Someday
When we're at the same place
When we're on the same road
When it's OK to hold my hand
Without feeling lost
Without all the excuses
When it's just because you love me, you let me, you need me
Then maybe, maybe
All you have to do is hold me
And you'll know and you'll see just how sweet it can be
If you'll trust me, love me, let me
Maybe, maybe

I'm confusing as hell
I'm north and south
And I'll probably never have it all figured out
But what I know is I wasn't meant to walk this world without you
And I promise I'll try
Yeah I'm gonna try to give you every little part of me
Every single detail you missed with your eyes
Then maybe
Maybe, yeah maybe

One day
We'll meet again and you'll need me, you'll see me completely
Every little bit
Oh yeah maybe you'll love me, you'll love me then

I don't want to be tough
And I don't want to be proud
I don't need to be fixed and I certainly don't need to be found
I'm not lost
I need to be loved
I just need to be loved
I just want to be loved by you and I won't stop 'cause I believe
That maybe, yeah maybe
Maybe, yeah maybe

I should know better than to touch the fire twice
But I'm thinking maybe, yeah maybe you're mine

Maybe, love maybe

This song I dedicate to myself.
Which Is why it was a good song to use in the project 'All about me'

Life in Venus

More work using paper clay...

For this project I researched one of my favorite plants the venus flytrap.

I planed to make a large sculpture using different predator plants as the theme.

I have an obsession with venus flytrap plants and used to have them in my room as a child.

I used this as a symbol to represent how children are brought into this world sometimes trapped within a family where they dont realy have much say eg domestic violence households, abusive parents etc

The top of the sculpture held a fetus held in a venus flytrap, based on a design I did a while back using alex pardee and leonardo divinchi work as inspiration

Fences : A f**ked up girl finding her own peace of mind

I'm sitting in a room

Made up of only big white walls and in the hall
There are people looking through the window in the door
They know exactly what we're here for
Don't look up
Just let them think there's no place else you'd rather be

You're always on display

For everyone to watch and learn from
Don't you know by now you can't turn back?
Because this road is all you'll ever have

If you let me I could

I'd show you how to build your fences
Set restrictions, separate from the world
The constant battle that you hate to fight
Just blame the limelight
Don't look up
Just let them think there's no place else you'd rather be

And now you can't turn back

Because this road is all you'll ever have

Me in my flat.. Living independent

The verve...My flat was known as a place not only I could chill in but where other people who lived with me came to relax! As I lived in supported housing with about 30 other residents I wasnt the only one with a tale to tell. Alot of people shared problems like a big family and this was inspiring to alot of my work. This is what gave me the idea to push myself to get through uni so I can help others If I was to become an Art Therapist!
Having experienced alot in my life I believe that I can use this to my advantage!

Alot of my old Artwork and some of my favourite photographs and other artists work make up these boards!
These boards make me have full confidence within myself that I can create a masterpiece

Dream catcher : My interest in dreams and understanding dreams  lead me to buy a dreamcatcher.
I think they also influence my style

Candles are one of my obsessions.I believe that when someone is fully relaxed this is when good artwork is produced and Candles are what help me relax!

Peace

As I have a pet turtle called spinelli that cant live with me I have this as a replacement
Its handmade and has a feel of Aboriginal artwork within its shell

My new bedroomThis is the bedroom I have been most settled  in. As an adult now this room can look quite childlike but also very artistic based with alot of my previous work from colleges up on the wall

I tried to keep some colour in my life but as I have an obsession with black and white photos this is  how I choose the theme for one of my rooms in the verve!

One of the comfiest beds ever

This was my kitchen..quite cluttered but homely with alot of letters and notes from loved ones
As I like to be surrounded by pictures all the time, photos and magazine cut outs helped me get through the day

My bedding Is designed by Andy Warhol (Elvis)

The bedrooms of laura wright

I think by looking at someones bedroom you can find out alot about there personality!
All these rooms are places I have lived in the past year.
Being Aspergers I seem to take alot of comforts with me eg photos, bedding, ect
My room is like a get away,Its where I get time to think and inspiration to draw and take photos.
Alot of the objects in my room are quite sentimental to me.Alot of them have meaning and purpose,
but to someone who was just to look at them would just think I was a hoarder.
I love all my rooms and I think alot of them are similar to eachother indicating my passion for what I do
Alot of the walls are covered in photos and artwork created by myself and others.
Lyrics from songs and images of celebrities are also A big influence on my artwork so I tend
to have this as my surroundings whilst I draw.

Ace of Spades....Using found Objects

For this project I used many found objects but mainly cards as my theme.I started by creating samples pieces changing the compisitions of different household items on a card.My reasons for making each of these samples was so I could take pictures of each one and edit them in hope of creating a logo for a tshirt or a dress.Originally I was going to make a dress using these cards but after taking the pictures swerved the idea as I think my design in the end was a detailed high quality design and perfect for a logo that could be used today within the industry. My main target audience were alternative teens.

This is a print I did using image maker with my final design .
The print wasnt one of my better ones but I quite like the scruffy  textured look  it gives off .

My final design.
This started off as a collage. It was then scanned and edited to give the effect of a 2D  flat surface rather than have materials and found objects looking realistic I tried to create more of a surreal effect.
I did about 6 final designs in a variety of colours
This is my favourite of them all which is strange as Im not realy a fan of the colour pink within Artwork

                                                                 .......sample pieces.......

I had alot of different samples to choose from when it came to deciding  which I wanted to make into a final piece.
I realy loved working with the different objects and materials and found it quite interesting that it was so easy to make a matchstick along with other found objects look good just by composing them in the right way.
It was cheap to make and I think there were many other ideas I came up with that could have had the same effect but a total different turn out. for eg collage work even 3D work or it could have been brought into a textiles piece as alot of sewing was involved within some of the samples.

The original background design to my final piece

playing around with colours and using printing methods

drawing from primary sources

This is a print design using the symbols off cards for earlier development within the project

earlier development

I did alot of printing throughout this project. This is one of the better prints I did but nowhere near as detiled as I wanted using this print method

These two prints I did using alot quicker method  I learnt in highschool and if im honest I prefer these prints to the ones above using proper printing facilities

This print I did by using an image that was printed off of one of  the choices for a final design.
It was then placed in acrylic paint face down and this was the turn out.
Im not that keen on printing methods but the technique left quite a nice textured finish

Egon Schiele

 Egon Schiele (June 12, 1890 – October 31, 1918)

As im a big fan of figurative based images or sculptures I love Egons work as inspiration for when im life drawing.Alot of my life drawing work has similarities with his as the style of his drawings are quite ridgid lines with body angles and shapes that are quite surreal.
Im not realy into the colours he uses and think if he was to use alot more primary colours his work could be made to look more modern.
Alot of his work I have redrawn and edited using a tool which inverts all the colours giving a glow to my work
Im going to start a life drawing class at the pyramid centre and I will be using Egon Schiele work as inspiration

Line drawings

This Robot image was inspired by a day of sitting and carving random images into a table using a crochet needle.
The robot I originally saw on a piece of graffiti work done by a tattooist so I decided to give my own input and create a whole new drawing based on this.

The complete image

This is an edited version of the above image using Glowing edges.I love how using this one photoshop technique the image looks completely different.

My favourite drawing up to date

This image was a complete random image drawn whilst listening to heavy metal music and  chilling and chatting with friends. I realy have fell in love with the outcome and Im debating having something similar tattooed.
Usually with drawings I do them, like them for a week and then go off them but I think this is a keeper mainly for the simple reason that the day I drew it was a good day and I get happy vibes from looking at this image as a reminder of that day.
The angle this image is taken on makes it look completely different to the original drawing but I think this adds to the effect.
Here I again used Glowing edges on photoshop and I love this just as much as the original.
